Latest Update — July 29, 2025
On July 28, 2025, the HOA board provided an update that they had spoken to the property owner/developer of the property behind Chadwick Farms.
The HOA board is now claiming that the developer never intended to develop a truck parking lot behind our neighborhood. They are claiming the developer said this site is being constructed as a "flex-use storage facility" for boats, RVs, trailers and light commercial equipment and are now insisting there will be "no semi-trucks or trailers parked there".
Despite this information, let's not forget the county and city officials have been calling this area a "Truck Lot" since the beginning. The surveys, permits and communications to government officials back that up. Many people have emailed, called and spoken to the county and city officials, as well as Mario from Insight Management, who was also calling this development behind our neighborhood a "truck lot". Even though this evidence exists, board members are spinning it as, "when they say 'truck lot' what they mean is a 'flex space'".
The board is insisting a homeowner in Chadwick Farms fabricated the lot development as a semi-truck parking lot.
Is it possible that the developer faced enough hurdles, emails, calls and concerns that he has now changed his tune as an attempt to save his investment? YES.
Our goal was to stop the semi truck parking lot from being built behind our neighborhood. And it seems that now since the developer has changed his plans, we won our fight.....for now. Only time will tell what Big Toor really develops behind the neighborhood.
